Looking Back at 2024
Joyful moments
- Two trips to Hamilton: First in Feb for the birth of Wendy, (Roselyn and Stephen) and the second in October for her dedication and Caspian’s 3rd
- Time spent with Wes and Elle: In Champaign (helping with their house), in Goshen for Thanksgiving and several fun pop-in times by Wes. Of course, hot tub fellowship.
- Experiencing the total eclipse in Berne Indiana.
- Little coffee stops, lunch and dinner dates throughout the year…. We are grateful for our marriage and each other.
- Friends, family and involvement in church that give us life and support.
Challenging Moments:
- Jacque’s niece, Shelly from Seattle passed away June 29th. Dave and children, Henry (15) and Holland (12) lost someone they all adored. We were grateful to attend a Celebration of Life in Denver in September at Ron and Julie Weavers (Jacque’s sister).
- Various health issues that pop up and then we find answers
- In March we started major renovation in Sturgis MI on Jacque’s family lake house which has taken a lot of our time and energy. Len stays up there during many of the weeks to work with Jeff and Norm (carpenters who do extremely good work). So many decisions, some major delays (failed concrete) but most of the work should be completed by the end of the year.
